The Civil Engineering Division is long and well established, finding its original roots in the early eighties with Port Authority of Jebel Ali, Jebel Ali Port Corporation, Dubai Ports Authority and as part of the Jebel Ali Free Zone upon its establishments and matching it in its phenomenal growth until the year 2005.

In 2005 and with many special projects fast developing all over Dubai, the Division was made into a separate unit under the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and was entrusted with all engineering regulatory activities for all Dubai World Projects, in addition to its previous jurisdiction of Free Zone, Ports and Customs.
